Welcome to my store!

My name is Anne-grethe (Anne) Laird. I have been making jewellery for many years as a hobby, in many different mediums, including beading, bead weaving, kumihimo, wire wrapping and a little silversmithing. I started wire weaving in 2017 and started selling my pieces in 2018. I love the creative and the cathartic process of doing the weave and watching a wearable piece of art emerge. Each piece is unique, as while it may start with a basic plan, it always changes and evolves as I work. My pieces are made with passion, from materials that speak to my creative soul.  I strive to make a quality product that will last, one that I’m proud of, one that will make the person wearing it feel beautiful and unique.

 

My jewellery is made from high quality copper, copper core and plated wire, unless stated otherwise. In the description, phrases such as “titanium” or “rose gold” refer to the colour of the wire not what it is made of.

 

If you see a specific piece you like but would like it in Sterling Silver, I am happy to do something similar. I cannot duplicate a piece exactly, as each stone is different and the weave will always come out in its own unique way.  Pricing will reflect the increased costs of materials, please contact me for a quote. My small and comfortable studio is in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia
